AMERICA CARNIVALE

(c) Breeze Vincinz

I was given to you

I am not asking for what is not there

I am not asking for what is not fair

I was given to you

I am not going to resurface your gleam

I am not going to concede to your means

I was given to you

I am not going to replant your flowers

I am not going to sweeten your sour

I was given to you

I am not a reflection of your insecurities

I will demand that you acknowledge me

Because I was given to you

And I called you my home

And I rested my head in your hands

And you’ve all I’ve ever known

Because I was given to you

There were so many circumstances

I bleed a kaleidoscope of hatred

As I walk across this circus land

That was given to me
